VMware Image

The Mandriva Pulse 2 VMware image is based on  Mandriva Enterprise Server 5.

Beware that this image is a demo, and must not be used in a production environment.

To start using Pulse 2, please:

  1. download our Pulse 2 Evaluation Guide ( PDF, French,  PDF, English),
  2. then  click here to download the latest VMware image of Mandriva Pulse 2 (~584 MB).

Client Side

Please note that these agents come with the vmware image.

Pulse 2 Inventory SSL Proxy

The Pulse 2 Inventory SSL proxy tool is a Windows service that wraps OCS Inventory NG agent HTTP connection to HTTPS, thus allowing the inventory to be sent to the server in a secured SSL/TLS channel with peer certificate check. See here for details.

Enterprise Server 5

You can register the MES 5 package repository with this command for i586 (PC 32 bits) architecture:

# Pulse 2 Repository
urpmi.addmedia Pulse_2 http://pulse2.mandriva.org/pub/pulse2/server/mandriva/mes5/i586/stable

For x86_64 (PC 64 bits) architecture:

# Pulse 2 Repository
urpmi.addmedia Pulse_2 http://pulse2.mandriva.org/pub/pulse2/server/mandriva/mes5/x86_64/stable

Redhat

Enterprise Server 5

Create a file pulse2.repo under /etc/yum.repos.d with the following content:

Pulse 2 Package Server for Windows

The Windows version of the package server can be use as a local package repository for a multi-site network architecture when only Windows computer are available.
