Hi,

If the halfstatic option isn't in a correct format, the plugin won't start and display a traceback : "Need more than 2 value to unpack"

Perhaps you could check if this option is in a correct format and exit cleanly if not.

. dont crash when the value is not valid, only put it in the logs (Closes: #234) .
